Office Gossip - February 2011
Partner Tim Shaw's step-son Ashley Woods was signed to US team St Catharine's
Men's in February for the 2011 season.
Ashley is pictured with his Mother, Jackie Shaw, stepdad Tim Shaw and his sister
Abbey Woods. Ashley won a scholarship to the US University due to his skills
on the pitch and Tim is very proud of his achievements. The following write
up appears on the Kentucky University's website:
"Ashley is a talented goalscorer from Manchester England and will vastly
improve the Patriots attack next fall. He is a proven leader, winning the 2009
Junior Sports Leader Award and is a qualified referee and an assistant coach
for a u-11 youth soccer team. He has also made appearances for the England schoolboys
u18 in 2010. Coach Wolz says, "I can't wait for Ashley to join our squad
next season. He will add more experience and a very dangerous threat up front
for us. We were very close to winning many games last season, but just couldn't
put the ball in the net. Ashley will give us those goals."
