On a chilly Friday 22nd February, a 'pack' of Leech & Co's finest pedigrees descended on Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium for a night out at the dogs.
Many small wagers were placed but despite various theories employed by some, including 'the waggy tail' theory, 'last dog to the toilet' theory, 'betting on the same trap all night' theory and 'asking the bookie' theory, there were no big winners on the night.
For those who hadn’t frittered all their hard earned cash on our four-legged friends continuing the party across town at Revolution on Oxford Road provided an opportunity to warm up and take on some much-needed refreshment and for those who weren’t dog-tired, to make their mark on the dance floor.
In spite of the lighter wallets it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all concerned and preparations are already afoot for the next Big Night Out!
